The Best of the Golden Goose Dupes!

Are you in love with the sparkly and fun Golden Goose trainers but can think of 100 other things you could do with the $450 - $600 they cost? There's just no way I can justify spending that kind of money on a pair of tennis shoes - much less ones that are meant to look dirty right out of the box!

So, I went on a hunt for the same look at a lower price and found some great options!

Check out these look-a-likes that will still leave you enough money to eat next month!

So who is Golden Goose and what makes them so special? Golden Goose Deluxe is an Italian high fashion sneaker brand based in Venice, Italy. Started in 2000 by two young Venetian designers, it was purchased for 400 million euros in 2017 by the Carlyle Group. Their sneakers are noted for their distinctive star design.

My personal favorite dupes are these blue, silver, and purple trainers from John Lewis. Definitely the most expensive of the group but they're all leather and I just love the sparkle. The brand is AND/OR and they were 80 pounds (around $105). I ordered a UK size 7 which is a US 9 and they're a little bit too long, but I don't think I could have gone to the next smaller size.

John Lewis also sells this leather pair with a pink metallic star for around $92 if you like something with a little less glitter.

If leopard is more your thing be sure and check out the adorable Jena Green at Apricot Lane Boutique. She is ALL the goals - successful, gorgeous, funny and a body to die for! Seriously I want to buy every single thing she puts on! She sells these leopard dupes for only $39 and they're so cute! Her advice is to size up if you're between sizes or if you plan to wear socks.

The rest of my picks are all from Shein, an on-line company that I was always a little leery of. But I bought the cutest sweater for Valentines Day from them and there were zero issues so I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.

To be honest, I think the Shein dupes look the most like the actual Golden Goose ones, if your goal is to pass them off as real. They have the same little patch on the side and the dirty/distressed look that the originals have. The reviews are really good and if they had my size I would definitely order the gold pair. But every review says to size up one entire size which would put me at a 41 (9 1/2 US) and the biggest size they carry is a 40.

That's my round up of some of the best Golden Goose dupes out there! So what's the verdict? Is it worth $500 or more for the real thing? I know my answer - but the designer ones are selling like hot cakes so clearly not everyone agrees! Leave me your thoughts in the comment section and thanks for reading!
