What's the Big Deal?

This is Lilly Pulitzer’s semi-annual sale. Lilly only has two sales during the year - one in January and the other in August/September. So this is a rare opportunity to get things that you've been eyeing all year (and past years too!) for as much as 80% off!

How Does it Work?

The After Party Sale begins at 8 AM ET on Monday, September 10, 2019 and ends on September 12, 2019 at 11:59 PM ET.

Once you get on the website, you’ll be given a number and a wait time, and put in a virtual line to keep the site from crashing and to make sure everyone gets a chance to shop. You will be put in this line regardless of when you arrive. Sometimes the wait time can seem really long, but in the past the time has always gone quickly. You can go about your business while you're waiting, but make sure your sound is on. You will hear a ding when you are let into the site.

Tips for Success

Go the the Lilly website ahead of time and set up an acount, entering your credit card info prior to the sale. This way you will save time at checkout and increase your chances of getting everything in your cart.

If you already have an account, double check your credit card info, shipping address and billing address.

Know your size. I find that with a few exceptions, Lilly tends to run TTS. There are some tunics that do run huge though so be sure and read the description to see if it is oversized. The Amisa Tunic is one of my favorites and I have it in blue, orange and white, but it runs huge and I can wear an XXS or XS in it. Shop at the stores ahead of time if you have a chance. The Lilly Pulitzer corporate stores will have Early Access Shopping Events on September 8th and 9th. Not all items online will be available in retail stores.

The day before the sale or early on the 10th, log into your account and leave the window open. As 8:00 approaches, start refreshing your screen. Once you are in the site with a time and number, stop refreshing or you'll be sent back to the beginning.

If your heart is set on something, filter your search for that item and grab it! Check out right away and then you can enter the queue again. They offer free shipping so it doesn't matter if you make 10 different purchases. This way you will definitely get that one thing you had to have!

Important Things to Remember

Just because something is in your cart does not mean it is reserved. Things are not held for you until they are paid for. Once you're on the site look around and grab some of your favourites, but don't wait too long to check out.. Sizes go quickly, and products sell out fast. Shipping is free, so you can place multiple orders but don't forget that once you check out you are sent back to the queue.

All sales are final - no returns and no exchanges, so don't go overboard. If you do end up with things that don't work out for you, there are several Facebook sites that specialize in Lilly (and I buy TONS of things from here and here). You can also try Poshmark and Ebay. Prices at the sale are so good that you will probably make your money back at a minimum.

Finally have fun! Don't overspend and don't get stressed. There will be another sale in Janurary and the Facebook sites ALWAYS have great things at fantastic prices. Lilly is all about fun, and color, and sunshine. Enjoy the experience and let me know what you score!!
